What does commercial air duct cleaning cover?
A full ductwork clean addresses every part of the air distribution system, not just the sections that are easy to reach. On a typical project we clean:

TR19® Air sets out how systems should be assessed, cleaned and verified, and its reporting requirements include Deposit Thickness Tests (DTT) — a measured, objective check of surface contamination before and after cleaning rather than a subjective "looks clean" judgement. We record these measurements, along with vacuum tests and surface comparison photographs, in your report.
Cleanliness is classified against BS EN 15780:2025, which defines quality classes (Low, Medium and High) according to how a space is used — a high-dependency hospital ward demands a far higher standard than a warehouse. Frequency depends on the building's use and the cleanliness class you need to maintain. Many offices are cleaned every one to two years, while healthcare, food production and high-occupancy buildings are cleaned more often. A survey with deposit thickness testing gives you an objective, defensible schedule rather than guesswork.
What is a Deposit Thickness Test?
A Deposit Thickness Test (DTT) measures the amount of contamination on the internal surface of the ductwork in a defined area. Under TR19® Air it provides a measured before-and-after result, so you can prove the system genuinely met the required cleanliness standard rather than relying on a visual opinion.
Will you fit access panels if our ductwork doesn't have them?
Yes. Where existing access is inadequate we install access panels to DW/144 specification so the ductwork can be cleaned and inspected properly — both now and at future services. All penetrations are made good and documented.
Do you provide a certificate or report?
Every job is issued with a post-clean report covering deposit thickness readings, before/after photographs and the BS EN 15780 cleanliness class achieved, so you have complete evidence for compliance, audits and insurance.
